Center for Systems Biology
Institute for Systems Biology

We focus on molecular systems biology and strive to develop mathematical and predictive models of complex biological phenomena. At the heart of the Center is a conviction that these challenges can best be addressed through multidisciplinary, focused research efforts that use biological inquiry to drive the development and implementation of new tools and approaches. In addition, we are creating new organizational structures to enable cross-disciplinary research and we devote considerable effort to teaching science in ways that will empower future scientists to pursue cross-disciplinary, quantitative studies in biology.
