The recent UK government Research Assessment Exercise identified Functional Genomics and Systems Biology as a world-leading research activity in the University of Cambridge. The Cambridge Systems Biology Centre forms a focus for this type of research in Cambridge and is a trans-disciplinary research centre established by the Departments of Biochemistry and Genetics, but with Members and Associates from across the Schools of Biological Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Physical Sciences, and Technology.
